Hello, my name is Shana. I am establishing this account to participate in Project 365. I hope to be able to find something in my world to photograph and share each day for an entire year. It won't always be art, but hopefully it will give you a glimpse into things that intrigue, create a connection, or warm your heart. Thanks for looking.
I haven’t been updating. It’s so easy to fall out of something than it is to get into it.
I need to dust, apparently.
I’ve still got daffodils - this truly amazes me.
It was 27 degrees this morning when I drove Gwynyth to school and then got Zara to the vet. Gwynyth only had a half day of school so she was home just a few hours later. Then, we went to buy Gwynyth some spring clothes because it’s supposed to be 80 degrees this weekend. While we were out, we were able to pick up Zara after her surgery. Everyone is back home now - Garrick’s even taking a nap this evening.
It’s time for Girl Scouts - which will run into dinner, bath, reading and bed. Wednesday usually keeps us moving.
My whole day? Making gumbo - the real stuff. Well, except it’s not seafood and the sausage is all beef. Anyway, it’s really great and we enjoyed it for dinner. Nice thing about gumbo is that it will be better tomorrow.
It didn’t snow today and the roads weren’t icy so we went to visit friends. It was nice to be out of the house and in the company of people we love and have known for years. What a blessing to have Ellie, Will, Jake, Zoe, and Jane here with us. I’m glad they made the move.
We spent today putting frames up on the wall. Mostly, I pointed to where they went and Garrick did all of the actual work. It’s a big wall and we had some issues trying to figure out where to put everything and get it covered. Some of the frames don’t have pictures in them but I’m working on it. Any ideas?
Garrick and Gwynyth just left for their first ever Daddy Daughter Dance. They never had anything like this in Houston - this one is hosted through the Girl Scouts. I was asked if I wanted to go to take some photos of the event but I couldn’t find a fancy dress in the thrift stores on such short notice.
I’ll update when they get back.
Here’s another picture of Gwynyth enjoying one of the warmer days we’ve had.
Gwynyth had an outside adventure with my camera today. She found many new things blooming in the yard. I’m not sure what they all are but she did take some interesting photos.
